What Is It: In a recently published study, Phononic reports that eighty-nine percent of Americans say that they want to shop in a grocery store that understands how to make buying an easier/more efficient experience. Fifty-six percent of Americans say that if grocers do not enter the modern age, people will look for other ways to get their food.

Why It Matters: With Amazon having announced their intention to offer free, two-hour Whole Foods’ delivery to Amazon Prime members, traditional grocers must adjust to consumers’ expectations or will get left behind.
