Harvard Business Review: Four Strategies For The Age Of Smart Services

In 2005 Harbor’s Smart Services Design of the future was featured by the Harvard Business Review.  What is most interesting about this piece, is that companies are still grappling with the challenges that the article presented back then.  Many of our constituents believe this piece explains the impeteus and direction as to where Smart Services are headed into the future.

If you’re like many product centric companies you’re scrambling to grow your revenues from services. The best ways begin with making the products themselves smarter. Smart services go beyond the kinds of upgrades and preventative maintenance offerings you may be bundling with your products, both in their value to customers and in their cost efficiency.
